It is a matter of relative risk. If you buy crystals, they do no harm and at least you have added something interesting to your home décor, even if they have no medical benefit.

You can also re-sell them.

It is not the same thing with drugs that have later been found to cause neurodegeneration, like some antipsychotics, or heart attacks, like some arthritis drugs.

If you are only buying (or re-selling) them for decoration, sure. If you are buying them to fight an actual ailment, they won't cause harm, but can also delay actual medical treatment while waiting on an inert chunk rock to cure something which can greatly increase the risk.
