In fact, I do not believe that racism is in the past and tend to believe that racism is probably ineradicable. The best we can do is develop social policies to mitigate it.

I was simply trying to make the point that this woman's claims are incredibly general and some of her more extreme claims are offered without evidence of any kind--and she was speaking to an academic audience when she made them.

Are her statements true of many white people? Yes. Of all white people--no. And when she uses the phrase "white people" without qualifiers such as "some" or "many," and entirely without supporting evidence, she is engaging in very bad scholarship.
