Dear Mary Holman, I am sure the people criticizing you cannot write a single coherent paragraph in a foreign language; thus, they do not realize how difficult it is to learn another language.
Keep trying. It will be hard. You are already 3/4 of the way there. Can you get a native speaker to review what you write before you hit the publish button?
