A very, very late response but this showed up in my email inbox today.

One of my mother's best friends had a difficult child who cried uncontrollably when having her clothes changes, was very irritable, and as she got older clung too closely to her mother

As a late teen, she was FINALLY diagnosed with lactose intolerance and put on a lactose-free diet.

She became an open, happy, even-tempered person. She is now an physician's assistant and is married.

You might want to check out lactose or gluten intolerance, food allergies, sugar, and perhaps wireless radiation. Also, how does she sleep?
